Spying

Okies, the chances of successful spying, and successfully using your CPU Bots "Offensively", are the same, no matter what you are doing.

It is largely based on CPU Bot to land ratio, the exact chances of success are listed below:

Base Chance:
  • Your Ratio of Green, is higher then Ratio of Red, 85%
  • Your Ratio is higher then 80% of their ratio (i.e., your ratio is 8.1, their ratio is 10), 75%
  • Your Ratio is higher then 50% of their ratio (i.e., 5.1, theirs is 10), 50%
  • Better then 25%, 25%
  • Better then 10%, 10%
  • Under 10%, 5% (largely the minimum)
Then we add the terrain affect to that (i.e. 75% + 10% = 85%).

If the sheer number of Green bots, is greater then Red, we add 10%, if the Green Bots are outnumbered, we subtract 10%.

If you have shielded your green bots, we add +5% as well.

If they are powerless, we DOUBLE the chance of sucess, at this point, if you are powerless, we cut the change of success in half.

If there's a 1/3 land difference between empires we'll take away 20% chances, with the exception of spying on lost cause empires, i.e., under 250 land, then we add 75%.

If you're using your bots on a Human empire and they have their bot shields on their shield % will be subtracted from your success chances.

Successful Runs will lose green bots at the folowing rates:
  • Powered: .25% * (0 or 1 or 2) (i.e., random, either 0%, .25%, or .5%)
  • Not Powered: 1% * (0 or 1 or 2)
Failed Runs, green bots will die at this rate
  • Powered: 1% * (1 or 2 or 3) (i.e., random, 1%, 2% or 3%)
  • Not powered: 2% * (1 or 2 or 3)
Red Bots, will die, based on this percent (the percent is Green bots thrown, or Red Bots on hand, whichever is LOWER)
  • 1% * (1 or 2 or 3)
(example, you throw 10,000 green bots, and they have 10,000 red bots, they'll lose 100, 200, or 300)
(example2, you throw 10,000 green bots, but they've only 1,000 red bots, they'll lose 10, 20, or 30)

NOTE: Being powerless, will likely mean, NOT PRODUCING POWER, it will likely be based on production, not if you've snaked power from an attack, or stole power...
