| Hint:#1 Attack! Attack all the time. You can attack monsters in noob mode, and this is a great way to find magic items and gain experience. Leave at least some characters home on defense after you leave protection. Attack as much as you can! Hint:#2 Don't Suicide In protection mode, send out all your characters on attacks against monsters, but once protection mode is over, be careful to leave enough defense home! If you are attacking a target with 30k defense points, and you are leaving 20k defense points home on defense, you're effectively suiciding. Hint:#3 If you're not attacking... Your characters that aren't attacking still need to stay busy. Train them. Use them to spy or steal (if they are a rogue). Cast spells with them. Hint:#4 Research Characters Your arkane tree is like a map, and the most important thing on the map is new characters. The sooner you get your characters the sooner you can start leveling them. Avoid taking unnecessary nodes, focus on your characters! Hint:#5 Don't get discouraged :) This is a tricky game compared to most browser games, and most everybody who plays it and continues to play it considers their first round a learning round. If you have questions, ask! You should have coven mates you can ask, clan mates you can ask, and there are the friendly in game moderators. Hint:#6 Land! Land is key to growth. Explore in protection mode. Build buildings on your land. Figure out if you're pop based or mining based (Barren, Hills, and Mountains are all mining based, otherwise you're pop based). If you're mining based, build a lot of mines. If you're pop based, build a lot of houses and avoid mines. Don't forget if you're pop based you'll need thieves dens, so you can steal iron. |
