Battles

Battles are fought using a point based system with various percent modifiers for the attacker and defender. By point based I mean each side in the battle will have points, derived from military and characters. The points will be modified by the percent modifiers and the higher value will win the battle.

There is a built in calculator, to spy on an empire click that empires name in either the coven listing or in a news report. Click the link "feed som to battle calc", then enter your troops and which characters you're sending into the battle, and it will show you the point spread and give you a link to attack. Keep in mind, your military and characters that you send off to fight a battle won't be defending your homeland unless you run turns.

There is also an advanced calc which allows you to simulate theoretical battles.

The characters will divide up your attacking army between themselves and then return at intervals, with your highest level characters returning home first. If you win the battle and you're the attacker you'll capture 10% of their land, unless they have state of readiness. If they have SoR you'll receive less land. State of readiness decreases 5% every hour. When you are the defender, you gain 50% state of readiness when you are successfully attacked.
